Morphe 35R & 35O Palettes: Product Review (Part 1)
"Playing dress up beings at five and never truly ends"
Recently my best friend and I had a little girls lime, we hung out, gossiped a little, did our makeup, got all dressed up and took pictures for Instagram of course. However, instead of playing around in all our palettes we challenged ourselves to just create a look each, inspired by Morphe's two most " in demand " palettes. So I reviewed Morphe's 35O palette and Vanna (my bestie) reviewed their latest addition to there collection the 35R. The main reason we love Morphe is quite simple, the company creates amazing quality products thats very affordable.
The Morphe 35R palette is Morphe's latest addition to their line of eyeshadow palettes. Lately, because of all the social media hype surrounding the product it has become their most demanded product.
This gold- tone palette includes 35 amazing high pigmented shades. The palette consist of half mattes and half shimmers, with a marketing campaign "Ready, Set, Gold". To the left of the palette there are four columns of mattes in various shades of browns and neutrals, with 2 satin shades (Subtle Shimmer) among them. To the right of the palette its literally shimmer heaven. There's 3 columns of high intensity shimmer shades ranging from dark browns to intense golden tones. The product retails online at Morphe for $22.99 USD. However, I purchased mines from a local beauty distributor The Law of Beauty for $230 TTD.
Product Packaging
The product is packaged in Morphe's signature sleek black plastic packaging. As much as I love the product the packaging could be improved, they could at lease give us a magnetic close. On the contrary the product is ideal for traveling.
First Impressions and Swatches
I honestly love love love this palette. Although, the look displayed isn't my own, I've swatched and used this palette several times. The matte shades are beautiful and easily build-able. However, as I've mentioned several times prior the same rules apply when applying these shimmers, they apply best using a damp brush or your finger (to get the most intense pigmentation). The palette's is a beautiful creamy texture with minimal fall out.
I first saw this palette in a Jaclyn Hill tutorial when she received it as part of PR, but from that moment she sold me on it. And I purchased yet another golden palette. Given that the summer is fast approaching this palette is perfect to create beautiful neutral summery looks.
So there you have it my bestie created this gorgeous smokey eye using Morphe's 35R palette, which I highly recommend. Stay tune, in Part 2 of this Morphe product review I would be reviewing the 35O palette and explaining a little more on the sexy, bronzy orange look I created in the image above.
