Anastasia Beverly Hills Product Review

"Without a doubt these palettes easily became my favorites..."

To achieve this elegant look in my photo above I used two of my favorite, ride or die palettes from Anastasia Beverly Hills. This product review will be centered around the Modern Renaissance palette and the Glow Kit- Sun Dipped.

Modern Renaissance

The Modern Renaissance palette is by far Anastasia's most demanded product, it includes 14 eyeshadows in a range of warm neutrals to pops of pinks and reds. This palette retails for $42 USD, However I got mines from a local online retailer, The Law Of Beauty, for $420 TTD. This palette is perfect for persons who want to achieve warm looks, as it consist of shimmer, matte and satin textures.

Product Packaging

The product is packaged in a sleek purple suede, magnetic closure, cardboard casing. The palette also comes with a fluffy Anastasia blending brush. The product also comes with a mirror which makes it ideal for traveling.

First Impressions and Swatches

This palette by far is my favorite go to palette when I want to achieve a pigmented neutral look thats stands out, which is perfect for a night out. I love the versatility of this palette it allows users to create so many different looks. The shades are as pigmented and deep as it appears in the palette. One of the main things that stood out to me is there wasn't much fall out, which is a good thing, it speaks to the quality of the product and there isn't much product wastage, which is definitely a PLUS.

Glow Kit- Sun Dipped

Anyone who knows me personally, know that there is nothing I love more than a good cheek bone highlight. So this brings me to the second product I reviewed from Anastasia, the Glow Kit in the shades Sun Dipped. This quad comes with four highlight shades, giving users the ability to mix shades or wear each stand alone. The product retails for $40 USD  online at Sephora or $400 TTD from The Law Of Beauty.

Product Packaging

The product is packaged in a slim glossy cardboard box with magnetic closure.

First Impressions and Swatches

As you can see from the picture above the shade Bronze wasn't really showing up on my skin tone, it was the third shade I swatched, however I still use it to set my contour now and then. I own several highlighters and highlight palettes, but by far this quad is my go to. The palette is very pigments so a little goes a long way when blended out, and all the shades look so beautiful on all skin tones. The palette ranges from neutral bronzed shades to pearlesque white shades which looks so beautiful paired with any makeup look and is perfect for strobing.

I went on to create this elegant look using the Modern Renaissance palette and the Glow kit, although in this look I went for a less intense highlight.

Modern Renaissance shades used to create the eye look:
Raw Sienna & Burnt Orange (crease shades), Realgar (above the crease), Read Ochre & Venetian Red (outer and inner corners), Love Letter (outer corners) Primavera (eyelid shade), Golden Ochre & Vermeer (brow bone highlight).

Glow Kit shades used: Tourmaline & Moonstone (Cheekbone)

Side Note; **Just incase you're wondering** Lips: Colourpop- Bad Habit

My first impression of these palettes was great, and without a doubt these palettes easily became my favorites. The colours in the Modern Renaissance were highly pigmented and easy to blend with minimal fallout, which I absolutely loved. Usually, when applying shimmers I spray my brush with setting spray to make the shades even more pigmented, however, when Primavera was so pigmented I just applied it with my finger and the beautiful golden colour transferred perfectly.

Because I was aiming for a soft elegant look I didn't want my cheekbone highlight to be too intense. However, as mentioned before, the Glow Kit became my holy grail from the moment I purchased it, its perfectly paired with any look, and ideal fro strobing. Once I'm applying my full face of makeup it isn't complete without my highlight.

By the way if you're interested in achieving this perfect wing, see my previous post to recreate it in 3 simple steps, I would attach the link, if you haven't read it yet.

So there you have it my Anastasia Beverly Hills Product Review review, I'm honestly obsessed with these palettes and I would definitely recommend that your purchase them. If you recreate the look comment and tell us about it.
